anyone else distracted by the phenomenal dancing in the background??? I love her!!!
the fact you can pull 500+ for reps is humbling in and of itself. More vids please. @respect
I also rest at the top on long deadlift sets. Especially with a belt, it's an easier position to breathe in and re-brace. And while I don't use straps, grip is rarely an issue for me even around 500 lbs. Anyway, great numbers! I can maybe come close on each of those but definitely not 10 minutes apart - maybe 1 week apart :)
Was that a get a bucket request, I saw? Perhaps Monsieur would like a wafer thin mint?
Yes.
Piss off, I couldn’t eat another thing.
I enjoy your content I'm very interested in the challenge but what most Peaks my interest is the backstory on the dancer behind you
Lol, the tale of that one is better described as myth and legend… Because that’s what it sounds like every time I tell it
@@PureBullFit <3 :)
Best I give you is 1/2/3
I'm good for 1.25/2/3.
I have a leg day challenge for you. I came up with this workout myself, and I used to do it regularly, and it is way more brutal than it sounds. It's just two movements, done at bodyweight. First, do 50 squats. Thighs to parallel, lock out at the top. Then, do 25 step-out side lunges to one side (I recommend your stronger side first), then 25 to the other side, also to horizontal thigh depth. After doing 50-25-25, you're going to repeat it to go 40-20-20, then 30-15-15, then 20-10-10, then 10-5-5, for a total of 150 squats and 75 side lunges each way - 300 overall total reps. Simple, right? **The catch: it's done for speed.** This is not a hypertrophy or strength workout, it's a metabolic workout. You *will* have to shake out your legs. You *will* have to take breaks between sets. The lactic acid buildup from this workout is a killer. I think the human limit for this workout is about 9 minutes. My best time is just under 13, though I haven't been able to do it for a couple years now due to ankle issues with the step-outs. If you decide to take it on, I am excited to know your time. Fair warning: your legs will be sore for a week, and stairs will be your worst enemy for about 3 days.
Omfg that looks BRUTAL
Can confirm that swoly gummies are absolutely worth it for flavor and ease of intake. Chalk water just aint it
I've been shooting for 1/2/3/4 by end of this year. OHP being the 1 plate lift. I'm currently 52yo. My lifetime best was 3/4/5 (never quite got 2 plate OHP) when I was 46.
I wish I had thought of the overhead press! Great addition
I'm 45 and really close to 2/3/4/6
I remember when you were a much smaller channel and you started growing fast. You had to nerf yourself and took a bunch of time off. Great content and looking forward to you pushing more videos again 👌
Oh wow, you’ve been here for a long time then, thanks for sticking around :-)
Maybe 5 years ago I could've done ok
Oh boy 💪💪
Is there a time frame for this challenge? Like are we doing a start movement and then like a month later seeing growth or we just doing the 'grip it 'n' rip it' approach?
If you have to peak for it you're taking it too seriously
What he said :) challenge is just for fun, and only if you find the idea motivating. As far as how often I would do it, only as often as it will not interrupt your training, and if you personally invested in seeing that kind of improvement. Think about it like Johnny Candito‘s 20 rep squat challenge, it’s not for anything in particular, other than the fact that it motivates him.
@@PureBullFit considering my goal is to finally hit the weights I've wanted, I may use this as some fun motivation/metric to help foster extra growth as well as, fuck it, why not?
Maybe it's the camera angle from the front, but the squats look a bit high.
It's the smoke from your doobie that looks like heat waves over a roadway 😂😂😂
Call the depth police
It could be, but that’s the depth. I consistently hit that competition and I’ve never got a red light. Might just be the angle, might be my clothes or I might actually be high… In the squat. I’m straight edge ;)
My wife is in the Army and on a 9 month deployment, talk about being alone and lonely. I totally appreciate it when my homies reach out.
I refer to mine as resting murder face...
Such a great review, very structured and methodical.
I hate jumping! I haven't really jumped since my 20s when I did Tae Kwon Do. I think you wrote them into the program you wrote for me which I will run again in a month or so.
He’s fine guys. HONEST, he’s fine. You gotta trust me.
People do a lot of seriously fucked up shit just to become famous and rich. You are delusional and naive if you think they wouldn't put themselves through all the that pain and suffering to achieve something that would otherwise be impossible for them and it's their lifelong dream. People hurt themselves and others without hesitation so they can achieve that. Just be real, man. No need for insulting your fans either for having different opinions. I don't agree with you on the subject, but calling me a moron or a bigot is just not ok so fuck you for that.
didnt omar isuff try this like 10 years ago and fail miserably?
I’ve been following Omar for a long time and I can’t say I remember that one
For this, watch out for the sheer at the bottom part. One of my few snaps ever many yrs ago. And wasnt even from serious weight. Was warmup weight legit. After 3rd rep, next rep went back normal path, and then that neck to shoulder rest position, felt it happen. Took like 2 months to even bench 2 pls again. But rn all good in general but I heavily advise ppl to watch out. I had pin safeties so I got lucky with not doing full bad and still had effect from sheer angle. And an ohp junkie during that. It's not a mobility issue nor strength. Just neck to rest is a bitch of sheer. Personally for an alt, I recommend pin presses. And btn pullups. You will get your feel and area hits. Plus goals.
Thanks!
Yo!!! I just did that this morning. Good word use dude. Love it!
Well.... that's the energy I needed for the day. Also, how many videos deep are you into 100 videos? Are shorts counting as videos?
I don’t know if they should but the school year just ended so now I am able to make a video every other day or even every day. So I’ll catch up in no time!
@@PureBullFit I expect nothing but greatness from you!
100%. Love covers a lot of ground. It ain’t always romantic or boinking love. It’s about the emotional bond between people who care about each other. Tell people you love them while you can because the ache when you can’t do it any longer is very real.
that means no walking for you o for me??? btw love your thing. Keep posting things on RUclips, come on man!! You can do it!
Pusillanimous. Love it. Send a bunch of people scrambling for a dictionary page.
I love you homie
Never gonna stop loving you, Homie!
❤ the energy.
Are you still able to progress at that age?
In the last year, I have set a new record on everything but my benchpress, and that’s only lagging because I dislocated my shoulder in November and have been nursing it since . I’d say the short answer is yes absolutely
48 and still lifting heavy. In better shape than when I was in my 20s and 30s doing gym bro stuff
Bicep tear speedrun
I thought about that, but what I did was never fully extend my arm and make certain that that did not happen, especially in the triple extension portion. I could’ve attempted heavier if I was willing to take the risk, but I wasn’t so I didn’t.
@@PureBullFit that's fair. I was being flippant in the way you do on youtube, but I still saw it the first time and was like 😬 Keep going man : )
I’m only 32 but I’ll never stop training for the rest of my life. I was fat and horrific not long ago and ashamed for it cause when I was in my early twenties I was in shape and a kickboxer and all. I started lifting so I could be healthy again and nothing is gonna stop me. Hell my grandfather was lifting until he was 75
Yessssss to heavy weights
Lifting heavy helps your joints it doesn't hurt them. I train arm wrestling and coach it. I know how to take care of your joints and tendons, and lifting heavy builds them over time.
At 44 and Ive been lifting a year and just starting to get "heavy" and theres no way im stopping. Just have to be more cautious and warm up properly, and take recovery more serious.
Will Tennyson and Michelle collab would be awesome
LOL
i started taking peptides and BOY do i feel NOTHING
Seven psychopaths is underrated imo. So is lifting heavy at for the "elderly".
This reminds me of the time my sister who was 18 saw my friend who was over 21 pour scotch and took a sip. My sister told her that's bad for you and my friend replied I know and I don't care.
I'm 52 and squat heavy and deep. I find it helps my joints, not hurts them.
Same here. I'm 52 and take pride in my deep squats too.
❤
Damn
Not an expert, but a non-functioning kidney seems like an enormous risk factor when taking gear. Also, it can easily make things worse for your joints.
It is, and one of the primary reasons that even back when I was tempted, I never made the decision to do so
Hey big bro, I recommend stem cell therapy for you rather than TRT. It'll cure most of your chronic illnesses and a simple follistatin therapy can help you stay leaner with very little work 👍🏻
I’m loving the Raskol fits, Omar always brings the heat. I’ve gotta get one of the Grizzly tees
Absolutely, I got to get one of those too!
Bro wants to see you on dialysis. You need better friends 😂😂😂😂 Edit: my mom was a transplant recipient and spent over 18 years of her life on dialysis. If you’re down to one kidney, PROTECT THAT KIDNEY. Being a renal patient yourself you probably already know the pitfalls of prednisone. Imagine those side effects times 10…and the damage it does. YOU LOOK AMAZING ❤
Oh my. I'm surprised the algorithm recommended your videos to me again. I find it hard to believe that, despite the consensus among sports scientists, powerlifters, and IFBB pros about Jeff's advice being suboptimal, and the numerous pieces of evidence showing that his programs are not effective and that he lacks a proper understanding of strength training terminology, you still support him. It's insane to me
See that’s the beauty of being an individual person. I get to make my own choices, even in the face of what appears to be an “appeal to authority“ that is nowhere near an actual consensus. Lots of people follow Mark Ripetoe for instance, I think that he says incredibly inflammatory and demonstratively inaccurate things with relative frequency. Yet a ton of people still view him as a good source of information As for Jeff I like some of his content. I disagree with some other stuff 🤷♂️ But to help out your biggest problem here, there’s a little button somewhere on the video that says “not interested”. If my stuff isn’t for you that’s fine. I’ve got no heartburn about it. You have a great day :)
very cool physique. you look like an early 2000s wrestler. i don’t think you need gear either
